Turnaround

Our safety margin for turnaround is two weeks. However we generally turn prints around much more quickly! For gravure printing our turnaround time is dependent on how complex the work is and how long the oil ink takes to dry so that can be up to 3 or 4 weeks.

All jobs can be rushed for a fee TBD on a case by case basis.

Packing & Shipping

We pack and ship globally. Our shipping rates are very competitive for UPS and USPS packages inside of the US. For shipping to Canada we prefer USPS. For shipping to Europe we prefer either UPS Express Saver, DHL, or GlobalPost. If you want to let us use your FedEx account number for FedEx shipping we can do this. FedEx is the fastest service for international deliveries however it will cost nearly twice that of UPS or GlobalPost.

We generally securely flatpack and ship small prints up to 30”x40”. For anything larger, we roll these around a rigid tube, then bubble pack the tube and place this tube in either a triangular or rectangular box for shipping. For large edition work we will crate the prints. We can also ship by LTL using SEKO LTL.

We interleave with non-buffered archival glassine. All packing is fully quality controlled and is inspected by the same people who made the prints.

Files

All files stored at Prints on Paper Studio are protected from distribution or access by third parties.
All files can be deleted securely at the client’s request.
Files are delivered via Google Drive download link.
Files uploaded to us are uploaded directly to a secure Google Drive storage container.
Non-layered production files can by provided to the client/artist upon written request of the client/artist and the client/artist only.
We generally do not distribute master files. These remain the intellectual property of PoPS.

Payments & Billing

For contract printing, work is produced after an invoice/estimate is generated and payment is made. Modifications to contract printing after payment may incur fees.
For in-studio production days, these are non-refundable and are due before arrival at the studio. If changes need to be made we can reschedule the day or apply the amount paid to contract printing or other services that we offer (including group workshops).
For workshops, total is due at time of signup. See our workshop page for more details.
For very large projects, a 50% security deposit is required.
For special paper projects, a minimum deposit is required to cover the cost of material and profiling before work is completed.
For publishing projects, we generally donate our time and labor but the artist or gallery covers the material fees. Then, the profit from the first few sales of work is split accordingly between PoPS and the artist to cover the material fee and labor based on what those costs would be if we were simply contract printing the work. So if the material is super high (let’s say it’s gold leaf) compared to the labor (small print in limited edition of 4) then the artist would be getting the majority of the first sales profit. This is also entirely dependent on the arrangement with any gallery or other institution that may be funding the project. It’s all on a case-by-case basis.

Split Payments: All invoices that we send can be paid in chunks by simply typing in the amount (up to the total) you wish to pay. This way you can split payments between people or pay off a bill over time, or pay your maximum credit card limit each day.

Payment Methods: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, Cash, or Check. We also accept PayPal. The two types of payments we really love to accept however are Zelle, Venmo, and ACH transfer because these do not charge us 3% on every transaction

Vermont Business Sales Tax Exemption: If you have a Vermont Business Resale Tax Exempt certificate and your work is meant for resale please present your certificate to us and we will keep it on file and you will not be charged sales tax.

Institutions of Higher Education and other Businesses: For non-profits, educational institutions, and other businesses, we bill on a NET30 schedule.
